Job Description

This position reports to the Director of Business Services/Finance and Accounting. It will be involved with all aspects of accounting and fiscal functions with the Division including but not limited to auditing, compliance, accounting, budgeting and fiscal analysis. Support accounting and fiscal clerical employees.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements

Prefer candidate to have experience managing accounting functions in a college or university environment, including but not limited to budgets, A/R and A/P accounting, and preparing reports.

Computer expertise with appropriate software, including PeopleSoft is desired.

Preferred candidate will be a Florida CPA and have experience with GASB standards.

Comprehend and follow instructions.

Understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculations.

Good knowledge of spreadsheet, database and word processing software.

Strong ability to relate and work well with others.

Ability to understand and communicate financial accounting information.
