Job Description

Functional Title: IR Data Analyst.
The IR (Institutional Research) Data Analyst provides support for MAAPS (Monitoring Advising Analytics to Promote Success) First In The World (FITW) grant project and other university Student Success initiatives. Major roles include collecting and analyzing data, creating and disseminating institutional and project data, and preparing comprehensive and summary reports. Other ad-hoc reporting will be developed as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements

Selected candidate must be detail oriented and demonstrate strong problem solving skills; have experience in data analysis and working with large data sets; possess a working knowledge of reporting and analytical tools (PeopleSoft Query, SAS, Microsoft Access, or similar reporting tools); experience with database (Oracle, SQL Server, MS Access) usage and development in a web-enabled environment; excellent communication skills, including technical documentation; familiarity with computer operating systems and Microsoft Office products; prior university experience.
