Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Division IT Manager, the Database Manager is responsible for maintenance and support of Advancement databases and related components including Blackbaud CRM, Blackbaud Financial Edge, and Microsoft SQL Server.

Designs, develops, and maintains SSIS packages for data integration and system interfaces that integrate Blackbaud CRM with PeopleSoft, CampusCall, Archtics, and other auxiliary systems as needed.

Monitors system logs and nightly job runs including: monitoring database performance and efficiency, database backups, access security, and data integrity.

Monitors and maintains the Blackbaud CRM application.

Creates complex and efficient stored procedures and SQL queries to surface relevant information as requested by Advancement to drive Tableau dashboards and custom BBCRM reports and extensions.

Maintains and extends the BBCRM Data Warehouse.

Develops database policies, procedures, and controls.

Develops and maintains BBCRM customizations by utilizing the BBCRM SDK and APIs.

Keeps senior technical management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and five years of information technology experience.
