Job Description

Develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plan in collaboration with the executive director of development at the college.

Identifies, cultivates and solicits major gifts in support of strategic programs priorities for the college/unit within the context of the IGNITE campaign.

Designs, directs and implements fundraising plans to support the strategic priorities of the college/unit that aligns with the goals of the Foundation and the College.

Identifies, cultivates and solicits major gifts in support of the strategic programs priorities for the college/unit within the context of the IGNITE campaign.

Actively manages a major gift portfolio of six and seven figure gift prospects (alumni, friends, corporations, etc).

With support from the Prospect Research team, prioritizes and interprets alumni data to assure portfolios are populated with top prospects.

Develops and implements targeted strategies to maximize the involvement of university leadership, the dean, program administrators, faculty and key volunteers in cultivation and gift solicitations.

Identifies, recommends and assists with the recruitment of volunteer departmental and advisory boards.

Coordinates schedules and agendas for major gift prospect visits to campus.

Coordinates intimate IGNITE campaign dinner gatherings with top donors/prospects in key areas around the country.

Serves as the liaison to the Foundation donor relations team to assist with the scholarship process and donor recognition and stewardship events.

Serves as the college liaison to the Foundation discovery officers.

Provides strategic consultation with program directors to bolster departmental fundraising efforts.

Utilizes and maintains prospect tracking and contact reporting system through the Foundation’s CRM database.

Prepares written proposals, in coordination with the Executive Director of Development, and records all proposal activity in the CRM database.

Prepares support documentation for gift acceptance in accordance with UCF Foundation accounting procedures. This includes the preparation of Gift and Pledge Agreements.

Meets performance goals and objectives as outlined in annual fundraising/operating plan.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience.

Ideal candidate should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a superb editor, with demonstrated service orientation and diplomacy; the ability to multi-task; be highly organized and detail-oriented. Demonstrates decisiveness and sound judgment in decision making and use of University resources. Some regional and national travel/overnight travel is required; motivated, entrepreneurial, creative thinker who has the skills to work within a highly-collaborative, fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
