Job Description

Assists Center faculty and administration with contract and grant pre-award and post-award related activities and duties.

Assist with pre-award activities in review of requests for proposals (RFPs) including reviewing all guidelines associated with each proposal, preparing required documents such as bio sketches, support letters, current and pending reports and budget information.

Assist with assembling proposal packages for review by PI, Center administration and ORC staff.

Assist with advising faculty regarding research expenditures, allowable costs and compliance requirements and interacting with the Office of Research and Commercialization on behalf of the faculty.

General administrative duties as necessary.

Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma and five years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Additional Minimum Requirements
Preferences

Knowledge of research compliance requirements at the university, state and federal levels.

Proficient with Excel, Word and Adobe PDF.

Knowledge of electronic research systems.

Experience working with PeopleSoft, NASA, NSPIRES, NSF Fastlane preferred.

Knowledge of Finance & Accounting (F&A) and Purchasing requirements and guidelines.

Special Conditions

This position has the potential to transition to 40 hours per week.
