Job Description

The newly formed Department of Nursing Systems at the University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Nursing (CON) invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-earning or tenured faculty position at the assistant or associate professor rank, to begin fall 2018. The successful candidate will bring experiential, academic and research specialization in community and population health. This individual will be expected to facilitate community partnerships and promote inter-professional learning and collaboration.

Position Minimum Qualifications

-Earned doctorate in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology or a related field from an accredited institution by date of hire;
-Earned bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution if doctorate is not in Nursing;
-A beginning record of teaching and service commensurate with the college’s tenure criteria;
-A program of research and scholarly activity that complements existing college research foci;
-Eligible for RN licensure in Florida.

In order to obtain tenure, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research and service commensurate with rank.

Preferences

-Earned master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution if doctorate is not in Nursing;
-Eligibility for appointment as a tenured associate professor;
-Outstanding record of teaching and service;
-Ability to teach across undergraduate and graduate curricula;
-Experience in inter-professional education;
-Leadership and/or administrative experience;
-Well established program of research and scholarly activity;
-Track record of extramural funding.
