Job Description

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of professor. Start date is flexible. Area of research interest for the position is consumer behavior. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the scholarly mission of the department through their own work as well as through mentoring and other interactions with department faculty and graduate students. This position was created as a result of a major strategic hiring initiative by the university. Salary, teaching load and research support are commensurate with other research institutions.

The Department of Marketing at UCF includes the areas of Consumer Behavior, Strategy and Modeling. Position Minimum Qualifications

A doctoral degree from an accredited institution, either in Marketing or a closely-related field, is required. Candidates must possess a portfolio of research in marketing and currently be engaged in an active research program in the field, with a strong record of publication productivity appropriate to professor rank requirements at UCF. This would necessarily include placements in top journals (e.g., Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Marketing Science).

In order to obtain tenure, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated record of teaching, research and service commensurate with rank.

Preferences

Demonstrated success in delivering M.B.A. courses is highly desirable, as is experience in mentoring Ph.D. students.
