Job Description

Customer/member facing role (working with BRIDG Leadership and Business Development Teams) to develop and drive BRIDG product development efforts to meet member/customer requirements for product designs and PDKs. This includes managing product process flows and efforts throughout the product lifecycles, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with business development to scope proposals (federal and other) and ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Work with customers/members, BRIDG Business Development and BRIDG Fab Operations to drive the technical direction of BRIDG product flows including but not limited to semiconductor based devices, III-V and other novel material based devices and advanced micro-electronic packaging/system integration. Develop methodologies in Heterogeneous Integration of III-V sources and Si-Photonics modules.

Develop and manage of BRIDG’s technology roadmaps and road-mapping activities ensuring that BRIDG’s technical direction is of value add to industry.

Work with business development to qualify, propose, and close revenue generative projects with industry

Be a key participant and recognized speaker at technical conferences, Business Development arranged customer meetings, and other partnership engagements of strategic importance to BRIDG.

Coordinate milestones with BRIDG customers to gain maximum value from the partnership, and develop protocols and documentation for PDKs, and member technology transfers

Scope member industry projects and programs including process flows, resources, time lines, deliverables & milestones, and budgets. Advise BRIDG Leadership team on product challenges and market opportunities.

Minimum 15 years of device processing and integration experience, with at least five years of process flow and product development. Extensive knowledge of materials integration and semiconductor process steps.

Deep knowledge of principles, practices and theories in semiconductor process and device fields discipline.

Outstanding record of program and customer management success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology. Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk.

Ability to design device solutions and create advanced product flows for varied of semiconductor device clients.

Strong and current awareness of external trends, best practices, and industry direction.

Identifies, develops, and initiates innovations and solutions where precedents and procedures may not exist. Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.

Working with BRIDG COO team, develop proposal cost estimations and project pricing.

Interact with BRIDG Fab Director to enable development of sound process technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.

Preferences

Demonstrated capability with program management including customer management/project definition/project management/budget management. In-depth and current knowledge of semiconductor industry and technologies including but not limited to smart sensors & imagers, III-V and other novel materials for advanced sensors, optics / photonics / silicon photonics, advanced 3D packaging techniques and heterogeneous integration. Experience with the design/development/fabrication of passive and active photonic imagers in the UV, Visible, SWIR, MIR, LWIR, millimeter and microwave wave ranges.
