Job Description

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in the College of Arts and Humanities at the University of Central Florida (UCF), invites applications for a nine month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position, anticipated to begin August 2018.

The successful candidate will teach primarily lower level language classes in Spanish. Assignments will consist of eight classes per year.

Position Minimum Qualifications

A master’s degree (for an instructor) or terminal degree (for a lecturer) in Spanish from an accredited institution at the time of the appointment. The candidate must have demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university or college level. Native or near native fluency in Spanish and a high level of English proficiency is required. Experience in teaching using a range of modalities (i.e., online and face-to-face courses).


Preference will be given to those with at least two years teaching at the college level and a strong interest in teaching through a variety of modalities (face-to-face, online, and mixed mode).
