Job Description

The School of Social Work at the College of Health and Public Affairs invites applications for a twelve-month instructor or lecturer position to begin in April 2018.

The position reports directly to the online M.S.W. coordinator. The position is full-time and contingent upon availability of funds. The responsibilities of this position include teaching online courses. In addition to these activities, this position is also expected to participate in committee work as assigned within the School of Social Work and the college. Salary is contingent upon experience and qualifications.

Housed within the College of Health and Public Affairs at the University of Central Florida (UCF), the School of Social Work offers a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, a master’s degree in Social Work, and a Social Work track in the interdisciplinary Public Affairs Ph.D. program. Position Minimum Qualifications

For instructor rank: a master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree from a CSWE-accredited program. A minimum of two years of post-M.S.W. practice experience and online teaching experience in social work education at the university level. Applicants must submit recent teaching evaluations.

For lecturer rank: a Ph.D. /D.S.W. in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution. A minimum of two years of post-M.S.W. practice experience and online teaching experience in social work education at the university level. Applicants must submit recent teaching evaluations.

Preferences

A Ph.D. /D.S.W. in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution. Online teaching experience, experience with various learning management systems. Social work teaching experience in two or more of the following fields: clinical practice, policy, research, human behavior and diversity.

Special Conditions

This is a twelve-month, full-time (1.0 FTE) position, contingent upon availability of funds.
