Job Description

UCF IT is seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) desktop support specialist.

Duties include:

o Engage in excellent customer service
o Perform setup and installation of laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, peripherals, and mobile devices
o Perform installation and support of software
o Perform refreshes of existing computers, laptops
o Troubleshoot and repair laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, peripherals, mobile devices
o Use electronic and networking testing equipment to diagnose computer equipment problems
o Provide client education on how to use equipment, software, and university systems
o Assist with client deployment and management tasks
o Assist in creating knowledge base articles to document solutions, processes and procedures
o Assist with other related tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma and four years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience. If minimum requirements of the position do not require post high school education, an applicant is not required to provide the information on the application.

Additional Minimum Requirements

Basic understanding of ITIL Foundation

Familiarity with ServiceNow
