Job Description

The School of Social Work at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applicants for a 9-month, tenure-earning position at the rank of assistant professor, anticipated to begin August 2018. Salary is contingent upon experience and qualifications.

This full-time position is being added to expand expertise and scientific discovery in evidence-based prevention and clinical and population-based research to improve best practices and behavioral health outcomes for local, national, and global communities. The School of Social Work is committed to preparing students as behavioral health leaders with broad expertise in intervention design, implementation and evaluation in behavioral health practice. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in the School of Social Work.

This position is among those that will be based at UCF Downtown when the campus opens in fall 2019. Located in downtown Orlando, the new campus will be home to 7,700 UCF and Valencia College students to study degree programs that align with emerging industries, and is within walking distance of jobs and internships. Position Minimum Qualifications

M.S.W. degree from a CSWE-accredited institution and a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Social Work or a related health discipline is required.


Two years post-M.S.W. practice experience; teaching experience; a beginning publication record in behavioral health; current funding or evidence of potential for external funding.
