Job Description

This position reports to the director of compliance and ethics and is responsible for supporting the development and operation of an integrated and comprehensive compliance and ethics program by maintaining the university compliance, ethics, and risk office’s training in Webcourses and PeopleSoft, the office’s website, supporting the documentation of compliance efforts in the office’s database and shared files, and supporting the university’s policies and procedures library and review process.

Assists the director of compliance and ethics in writing, editing, marketing, and publishing information in the office’s website, pamphlet, training in Webcourses, and maintaining training records in PeopleSoft.

Assists the director of compliance and ethics in the development of the compliance and ethics annual report and other Board of Trustee Audit and Compliance Committee reports as assigned.

Maintains version control of university policy documents, coordinates the distribution of policies and procedures for review and posting, and ensures timelines are met prior to the University Policies and Procedures Committee meetings. May assist with scheduling University Policies and Procedures Committee meetings and preparing meeting minutes.

Assist with policy and procedural first level reviews, proposing edits with the guidance of the director of compliance and ethics.

Demonstrates the ability to gain support and influence with employees and managers.

Acts as a team member to support the achievement of the goals of the department. Actively seeks opportunities to acquire compliance and ethics education and shares this knowledge with the department and university community.

Assists with maintaining records in the office database and shared folders.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preferences

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Possess a high degree of professionalism, and demonstrates the ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

Highly preferred college degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training, experience, and demonstrated knowledge base.

Two or more years experience working in an academic or compliance related field.

Ability to work in diverse environment.

Experience developing and editing training courses in Webcourses/Canvas.

Managing courses and course sessions in PeopleSoft and experience with WordPress and Access database.
