Job Description

Serves as project coordinator for the Parramore Education and Innovation District Planning Grant. Convenes and supports stakeholders across public K12 and postsecondary education to facilitate a collaborative effort to increase educational attainment in an underserved downtown Orlando neighborhood. Provides project and administrative support of a highly varied and responsible nature, tracks deliverables, coordinates/schedules meetings, and ensures timely follow-up and deliverables are received from project team members. Communicates with and coordinates the activities of various stakeholders to ensure project progress and completion.

This position is a member of the UCF Downtown team but will work closely with the co-chairs of the grant from the UCF Center of Higher Education Innovation and College of Education. This is a 12 month appointment.

Tracks and executes tasks critical to the Parramore Education and Innovation District planning grant. Ensures tasks are completed and deliverables are met.

Responsible for managing administrative activities of the planning grant and supporting the Project Consultant, Planning and Implementation Team, and Executive Council as needed.

Schedules committee meetings, procures supplies, and organizes travel as needed.

Aids with project coordination and facilitating proper and timely execution of internal paperwork and communications important to help maintain project items on schedule.

Maintains the planning grant budget. Assists with timely processing of financial transactions.

Maintains organizational charts, grant documents, meeting records, and project deliverables to facilitate meeting grant reporting deadlines.

Collaborates with members of the community and other external stakeholders.

Other support duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements

Project management or project coordination experience. Organized and detail oriented.

Special Conditions

This position is a 12-month appointment only. If additional funding is secured, the appointment can be extended.
