Job Description

Under the supervision of the COO, manage BRIDG’s finance and accounting activities supporting financial transactions, reporting, and budgeting. Lead in the development of short and long range financial and budgetary data; provide analysis, advice, and counsel regarding finance and budget matters; participate in budget planning processes; monitor revenue and spending as assigned; prepare reports, and contribute to projects such as those related to process improvement.

As a secondary responsibility manage BRIDG’s human resources related administration for employees and “BRIDG Opportunity for Students (BOS)” programs.

Administer budget activities, such as assisting with the preparation of and gathering of data for monthly, quarterly, and annual operating budgets and reports.

Developing a process and method for establishing and managing departmental budgets (bus dev, marketing, operations, engineering, etc).

Assist various units in interpreting financial and budget reports, analyzing data, and planning budgets and assisting units in projecting costs on proposed new or expanded programs.

Using historical trend and other data as appropriate, prepare financial forecasts as basis for planning and decision making both for the institution and individual units.

Prepare and maintain in a standardized fashion, historical trends with respect to institution’s financial and related characteristics and make recommendations for the future.

Analyze cost data, accounting/budget status reports and initiate or recommend corrective action or alternatives as appropriate.

Establish tracking & report generation for BRIDG physical inventory value

Establish tracking & report generation for BRIDG capital assets

Work with BRIDG’s fiscal agent (UCF Research Foundation & USF F&A) to improve AP and AR processes and financial tracking/reporting.

Lead accounts receivable/payable tracking and processing

Develop and manage BRIDG’s overhead structure

Develop and manage BRIDG’s pricing structure in conjunction with Business Development and Operations.

Lead and support periodic financial audits.

Perform related duties, special assignments, research projects, and prepare focused analyses as assigned.

As a secondary responsibility manage UCF’s human resources related administration for employees and “BRIDG Opportunity for Students (BOS)” programs.

Act as a Facility Security Officer as part of BRIDG’s export control program.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Additional Minimum Requirements

General knowledge of use of financial management systems (ie Oracle/Peoplesoft). Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Ms Excel. Well organized. Analytical skills. Self-motivated. Interpersonal skills including ability to make presentations. Being able to prioritize tasks. High attention to details. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Good oral and written communication skills.
