Job Description

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has established several interdisciplinary clusters to strengthen its academic offerings and research mission. In support of this effort, we are recruiting faculty in the broad area of Violence Against Women and with a focus on public health to complement our social science strengths in this area. We plan to hire two tenured associate professors or professors and one tenure track assistant professor for this cluster. These positions have anticipated start dates of August 2018.

These are interdisciplinary positions that will be expected to strengthen both the cluster and a chosen tenure home department and should include joint appointments as appropriate. In fact, cluster faculty are encouraged to seek joint appointments with other units. (See against women/ for a complete list of all the units involved.) Individual and shared infrastructure and startup support will be provided for all of these new positions. All positions will carry ranks commensurate with the candidates’ prior experiences and record.

The ideal candidates will have significant federal funding commensurate with their field of study and scholarship focused on public health aspects of Violence Against Women.
